HOW TO MAKE INSTANT POT CARROTS!
Ingredients:
- a pound of carrots. Peeled and diced into 1/2 inch rings. You want to try and have all of the pieces similar in size.
- 3/4 cup hot water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon butter
Directions:
Grab your carrots, salt, water and garlic and place it in the instant pot!
Then turn in on manual and set it for 6 minutes. I use almost boiling hot water in order for it to come to pressure quickly (about 8-9 minutes!) Then when it is done, quick release.
Stir in your butter. Your carrots are ready to go!
A few tips on making these come out perfect!
Don’t over cook! I know we have a tendency to want to cook them longer, but they really do not need more than 6 minutes. If you use less carrots, I would make it only 5 minutes. We really don’t want mushy carrots at all!
Also these can be flavored with anything you like. Add more garlic, or sprinkle with a little brown sugar! The possibilities are endless!
